Q: podcasts are changing by themselves

Hi, hope you can help.

There is a strange problem in my iPhone (6) podcasts:

Some podcast feeds have changed to other podcasts. Like a hijack or something. The podcast has all of a sudden a new name, new art and new episodes that are in a different topic. For example, a podcast about trauma is taken over by a podcast about real estate, or a podcast about stoytelling is taken over by a podcast of the town "night vale". I did not choose to download or ever listened to the new podcasts, and have no idea where they came from or why. The old episodes of the original podcast remain, and that is how I know that the new podcast has taken over an old one.

How do I fix this, and why is it happening?

Thanks for your help,

Yoav.

This is a bug that other users also reported here. There is no universal fix that I'm aware of. Try the troubleshooting steps below. If they don't solve it, try deleting, un-subscribing, then resubscribing.

It seems that those users that don't sync their podcasts between devices and iTunes have fewer problems.

Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

If this doesn't help, you might need to Restore your iPhone: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

If your backup is to iTunes, make sure it's an encrypted backup.
