Q: problems with selfie-stick

Friends gave me a selfie-stick. My phone does not see it. I have an iPhone 4s. On other models it works. Do you think the problem in connector or selfie-stick?

Try another selfie stick. If it works great, the problem with this stick, if not, clean connector place or take it to Apple store for checking.

I already tried. I think the problem in the plug my phone. it is older than the selfie-stick ))
