Invoiced for something i haven't bought

hi

i have received an invoice for :

Sing! Karaoke by Smule, VIP All Access Pass (Automatic Renewal)Monthly | 31 Aug 2016Report a Problem

In-App Purchase

£29.94

I havent purchased this, and when i go to the link to cancel my malware checker stops the page from opening. The full email address it is coming from is : order529@checkcoverage.apple.com

Is this a phising scam? Or has someone hacked my info?

I am not sure where to go/ who to contact about this.

thanks

I got an email for this same thing just now. It alarmed me because this email told me I subscribed for $30+ a month for something I never did. So...using their link (looked exactly like legit Apple pages) I went to unsubscribe and further investigate. I entered my Username and password, and it said my account had been locked due to too many login errors. (?!!!) I was then directed to another legit looking page where it asked for ALLLLL of my personal info. When I got 4 spaces down it asked for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER and then I knew. Thank god I got immediately out of there before giving them my life on a silver platter. And yes, I changed my password. BEWARE

Avoid phishing emails, fake ‘virus‘ alerts, phony support calls, and other scams

if you think your Apple ID has been compromised see this link:

You may wish to change your Apple ID log/pass with a complex password you don’t use for anywhere else.

If you share the same or similar log/pass combo with another service (e.g. Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) and that service is compromised then anyone with that information simply needs to try the same combo elsewhere

Be very careful downloading anything from Smule. They have been charging us for subscriptions for months that don't show up under our subscriptions on iTunes yet regularly charge us fees. I have contacted them and iTunes and they refuse to refund me the charges. Any time I downloaded any app, they were tagging on charges for apps I never purchased from them. The only way I could stop it is by removing my credit card. iTunes is not helping or taking any responsibility for the corrupt company. Smule is a devious company everyone should be leary of.

Thanks for letting me know this happened to you. I had it happen today and when I saw they wanted my ssn, I had to step back and research. I'm not happy this happened to either of us, but am glad I found an answer. I just changed my passwords and am now going to change my cc info just in case. I'm super p!ssed that Apple won't take down apps that do this.

lots of these appearing on the forums, it appears to be a scam and all is needed is an email, no hacking necessary.

Apple has documentation on identifying emails from them or scam email

Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store - Apple Support

you can report scams to apple from here.

if this is indeed a legitimate email you should contact apple using the contact at the bottom of this page.
