Q: Macintosh SE HI ROM replacement

Hi,

I own a Macintosh SE "Superdrive" (aka SEFD). It's been working well for me for many years, but unfortunately the PRAM battery exploded. I was able to mostly clean it up, but it damaged one of the feet for the HI ROM. I was able to solder the foot back on and it worked for a while, but then stopped working. I'm not very experience with soldering, so it may have gotten loose when moving the computer around. I tried my fix again, but haven't gotten it back up and running yet.

Does anyone know of a site or place where a HI ROM can be purchased that's relatively cheap? I'd be fine with a used one as I'd guess there aren't many new replacement out there. If there is then I could get this Mac up and running again. If I find some that are too expensive it likely would be more practical to replace the entire logic board or the entire computer its self. I'd hate for a classic Mac to die.

If anyone thinks it may be something else I should look at or are interested in the symptoms it's pretty simple. Turning on the Mac will power it up, but there is no sound and the Mac has several black bars going vertically. Nothing can be done.

All three of my classic Macs seem to be dying. My Mac Plus will not power on and the sound on my Mac Classic is dead, even after a re-cap.

Thanks!

TLDR: Where can I buy a HI ROM for my Macintosh SEHD to repair it?

Macintosh SE, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier
