Q: I have an HUD that follows my cursor with info about the image. How do I get rid of it?
On one of my Mac Pros, there is a HUD display with information about the image. It sticks to my cursor and makes it awkward to work. I am sure that there must be a key command to stop this, but I can't find it. I have another Mac Pro at work and it does not do this. Any help would be appreciated.

That is probably the Metadata Tooltip.
You toggle it on and off with the key combination command-T or from the browser and Viewer metadata overlay menu:
