Q: About My Mac - Photos Storage Block
So I've been getting "start up disk full" messages for a while and have been battling with cleaning space on my 2012 MacBook Pro (OS X El Capitan).
I have downloaded and used Clean My Mac 3 and cleared caches. I have removed all unnecessary applications and media files. I removed all photos, iPhoto, and Photo Booth libraries from my mac completely. Trash has been securely deleted.
The problem seems to be this "Photos" bucket when I run the About My Mac - Storage. The photos section is showing as 108.1 GB ?!!!.
Does anybody know why this is? Again for clarity, I do not have photos, iPhoto, or Photo Booth libraries on my mac (and have not for a while, as I use external hard drives). I also have removed all iPod/iphone/ipad back ups and iTunes media applications.
Any idea what 108.1 GB could be for Photos? I can't imagine it would be album artwork, as my iTunes media photo is only 51 GB.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance!!

When you updated to El Capitan, you likely migrated your iPhoto Library to Photos. Check Users > your user account > Pictures folder for a Photos Library file.
