Apple TV Home Sharing in an apartment

I recently purchased a new Apple TV 4th generation. I immediately tried to setup Home Sharing from iTunes on my Macbook Pro to the Apple TV. I turned Home sharing on both devices by logging in, but my iTunes library won't show up from the "computers" menu on the ATV. It just says "Turn On Home Sharing in iTunes", even though it is already on.

Both devices are connected to my apartment's WiFi network which everybody in the complex shares. I have no firewall activated on my Macbook, and I've tried restarting my devices and disabling and reactivating Home Sharing to no avail. Both devices are updated to the latest software.
