Q: iPod Nano Bluetooth re-pairing issue
We bought an iPod Nano (Version 1.0.4 PC) mainly to play music through our Orbitsound "boom box". The two paired successfully and music was played in this way for about the last six months. However, about 2weeks ago the pairing stopped working. The Orbitsound device is still in the Bluetooth list but the iPod cannot find it despite the box being switched on and the iPod being about a couple of inches away from it as before.
It would seem I need to remove the old pairing and start again for the iPod to recognise it but there appears no way to do this. I have tried the reset settings option several times and turned the Bluetooth option off on the iPod for a couple of days but to no avail. We bought an iPad at the same time and this still works fine with the Orbitsound. However we share this device so it is not always in the house when you want to play music which was why we bought the iPod as well!!
The iPod doesn't link with our Toyota Bluetooth either and we have to "hardwire" the iPod to the car sound system to get any music played but we have given up on that one!
Searches of this site and the Apple support don't really cover the Nano very well even when you filter the results as the functionality is not the same as other Apple devices I.e. The iPod has no "forget this device" option.
All very frustrating so any help in resolving this would be appreciated.
Thanks.
