That looks OK, but can't tell without seeing the original or the output or what you're doing. How does the rendered video look inside FCP?
If you are "expanding" the video beyond 100% (which it is if you're going full screen), you will see image quality issues. Any time video (or photos) are blown up over 100% you will see pixelation. How badly you see it depends on the format, codec, clarity of the original.
Related to what Ben said is what you're doing in the animation. What are the original sizes of the images in the animation and what are you doing to them?
IF you're doing the animation in AE what are you doing in FCP? Again to know why this is happening you need to give exact details, step by step, of everything you're doing along the way.
Ok, I'll try and explain, but bear with me I'm new to this 😕
Composition Settings are:
I import my PSD files in to AE as 'composition' > 'merge layer files into footage'
Each of them become a composition (I then animate each comp by making layers appear, disappear, or making layers move from one side to the other etc)
I then add to render queue...
Render Settings:
Then from then on I import those QT clips into FCP and drag them on to the timeline in the correct sequence.
(I'm not sure how I can check these settings to give more detail at this bit!)
As for why I'm using FCP.. I prefer adding the clips together on a timeline and adding the sound effects/audio/transitions. I find it easier to use than AE, and I didn't know how to do that in AE?
CCan see no see why this is happening. I assume the QT file that comes out if AE is OK.
Yeah the QT file is fine on full screen, so something must happen when it's brought in to FCP.
I was seriously panicking that I'd have to do it all again, at least the QT files that AE spat out are ok.. 😊
You know in FCP... Once I've added everything to the timeline and I'm done, there's nothing else that needs doing before I export (share) is there?
You not editing with proxy files are you? Switch back to original?
How do I that? I think I remember something about proxy settings, because my laptop kept crashing. I've now got more memory but forgot about the proxy thing.
VViewer settings popup upper right of the Viewer.
YES!!
It worked! You don't know how happy this has made me.
Thanks so much for your help and taking the time to write back, I really really appreciate it.
😀😍😀
Animation is pixelated when exported
