Q: Adding passes to Wallet

Hello, I've been having issues adding passes to my iPhone 6s.

When I first got it they worked perfectly (December 2015 to February 2016) but when I wanted to use it again in June it just didn't work anymore. When I scan the code I get an error message saying there is no pass for the code when I know for a fact that the pass is Wallet-compatible. This happened again today with a pass from a different website.

I then tried to add it from an email and I got a message from Safari saying "Download failed, safari cannot download this file".

I keep my iPhone completely updated.

Any ideas on how I could solve this?

Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello there, beatrizvlc!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having an issue adding passes to your Wallet on the iPhone. I know how important it is to be sure you are able to add passes to the iPhone for Wallet. I would suggest trying to add the pass again after each step.

First, force all apps closed running in the background by double pressing the home button on the iPhone and when you see the multiple screens, swipe each one up to close it until all you have left is the Home screen. Then restart the iPhone. Once the iPhone is started back up, try adding the pass again.

If that doesn't work, try resetting all settings on the phone by going to Settings > General > Reset All Settings. This will reset the personal settings for your Wi-Fi and VPN, but will not delete the personal data like photos, contacts, music, etc. Just be sure you have any passwords or settings for reconnecting your Wi-Fi and/or VPN available.

If that step doesn't work, it would be a good idea to check out this article with steps to Get help with Wallet on your iPhone or iPod touch.

If passes don’t show up on the Lock screen or in notifications

Some passes use information based on location and time to show up on your Lock screen automatically. For instance, a coupon for coffee might appear when you drive near a coffee shop.

If you want a pass to appear on your Lock screen when it’s time to use that pass, follow these steps:

    1. If there's an   on the pass, tap it. Then make sure that Suggest on Lock Screen is on.
    2. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Turn on Location Services. Tap Wallet, then tap While Using the App.

    Cheers!
