ipad stuck on icloud log in after factory reset

i purchased a second hand ipad from a friend that forgot her icloud password and her recovery email password so i did a factory reset and now the ipad is stuck on the login to icloud part so i cant access the ipad at all is there any way of bypassing this or doing a full reset so i can make my own icloud account im stuck and i cant use the ipad my friend cant remember her passwords or very much of anything due to the fact she has dementia i need help asap

That is activation lock, it can't be bypassed.


Does your friend remember the answers to her account's security questions so that she can reset the password by answering them on http://iforgot.apple.com ?


If she can't remember her answers she could contact Support in her country to get the questions and password reset : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support


Or, and if she was the original purchaser of the iPad (i.e. it wasn’t bought used) then you/she could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you/she does) or try contacting iTunes Support online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the iPad from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it
