Aug 18, 2016 9:18 AM in response to kamaferroby Rysz,If all your files successfully migrated to Photos Library, yes you can delete the iPhoto app and the iPhoto Library file in your user folder.

Aug 18, 2016 9:37 AM in response to kamaferroby Rysz,Other than comparing them, there really isn't a sure way. You can take a look at the total number of images in each library and the library sizes, but know that they won't be identical. Number of files count may differ slightly in each app because they count/define items differently. Library sizes will differ because each app adds different overhead to the library file.
If youre not sure if everything migrated, you can leave the old iPhoto Library. Deleting it will save you very little space because both libraries point to the same original files on your drive. They are not duplicates.

Aug 18, 2016 9:38 AM in response to kamaferroby LarryHN,Only by looking
But generally there is not much reason to delete the iPhoto library unless i has been over three months since you used it as doing so releases little space - Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support
And if you delete the iPhoto librariy you should archive it first just in case you ever need it

Aug 18, 2016 9:40 AM in response to LarryHNby kamaferro,I just go to iohot in Pictures and archive ?
-
Aug 18, 2016 9:46 AM in response to kamaferroby Rysz,Why? Unless you see some issues with the current Photos Library, migrating again will not accomplish anything.
As I stated, if you're nervous about deleting the iPhoto Library, leave it, or back it up to an external drive. You will not gain much disk space by deleting it.

Aug 18, 2016 9:54 AM in response to LarryHNby kamaferro, why cannot delete iphots app I just keep photo
-
Aug 18, 2016 10:06 AM in response to kamaferroby LarryHN,You can - you can do anything you please, but getting the app back can be extremely difficult and saves about 1.6 GB so is really not recommended - do what ever you please but at your own risk - the recommendation is to keep the iPhoto library and if you are going to delete to archive the iPhoto library and keep the iPhoto application
What you do is totally up to you
