Q: Mail Rules to Trigger Notification
Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible to set up a notification system within OS X to notify me (via Notification Center or the swipe in message in the upper right hand corner of the screen) when certain mail rules run.
For example, I have a number of rules that automatically forward specific email, mark it as read, and move it to my archive.
I would like to see a notification pop up with a customizable icon and message (e.g. the logo of the company the rule is written to handle the mail from) every time Mail performs this series of actions.
I have seen various posts about creating mail rules that call applescripts but frankly I had a really hard time appropriating that information for my own uses.
Has anyone tried and succeeded doing this in Yosemite (or more specifically the Sierra beta?)
