Adding Location to Calendar Event

Adding Location to Calendar Event

I am puzzled by the randomness of location addition to Calendar events.

I would expect that Calendar should search first through my Contacts, or recently used locations or at least in my local geographic area, but instead I often am prompted with random (german or European?) locations.

I looked but there does not seem to be a place to set this in preferences.
