Q: Macintosh Portable Speaker Question

Hi, I have my Macintosh Portable Speaker apple part 600-0406 Speaker non working. I was wondering if I could use one of other Mac, like my old Centris, Powermac 8500

Powermacintosh 8500 Speaker is apple part 922-0353

Centris Speaker Assy apple part 609-0003

The connection seems to be the same, but I don´t know if the installation will damage ether the motherboard or the speaker itself.
