My IPad Pro won't charge?

My iPad is refusing to charge. I've check the cable and the adapter. They work on my phone and the adapter is 12W so it should work.

So I started troubleshooting, turning brightness down and apps off. Nothing worked.

Then I blew inside the charger port on the iPad and heard a slight crackling/foaming noise.

help, I'm not quite sure why this happening? Is this anything serious?
