Q: My i tunes library on my mac is loaded under my apple id. When I make a purchase on my mac, I tunes uses my apple id to complete the purchase. I want to change it so the library stays on the mac but is connected to my wife's apple id instead of mine.

My i tunes library on my mac is loaded under my apple id. When I make a purchase on my mac, I tunes uses my apple id to complete the purchase. I want to change it so the library stays on the mac but is connected to my wife's apple id instead of mine. And, when we make future purchases from the mac, I want i tunes to use her apple id to complete the purchase. She can then access the library through her I pad and i phone. How do I make this change?

Log out from your account and log in with her ID. That's it, but...
All past purchases will forever be tied to your Apple ID.

If the object of this exercise is to give your wife access to your purchases, set up Family Sharing.
