multiple ipads, shared, buisness use, mirror each other

Good Morning,

We are company that has seen much growth in technology and size over the last few years. During our growth we started using ipads for things like facetime, posting to our social media networks, and using apps. initially We hastily set up our ipads using our personal apple ids and have since created one apple id that we would like to share among all the devices so they can be managed more easily. We would like all the ipads to be exactly he same. When an app is downloaded on one, the app is then added to each of the other devices as well automatically. We would also like to simplify our back ups of the ipad, which are non existant now. We want them all to mirror each other. I'm having a hard time getting documentation on this through google searches. Please help us ease our ipad management practices.

Probably because appleid's are not intended to be shared among individuals.

First, get a mobile device manager (MDM). Move quickly on this, but do not rush. rccharles gave you several links to the top services out there. I prefer Casper Suite by JAMF Software. Read reviews, do free trials, find a software that is easy to use but manages securely the way you want.

Once you have selected your MDM, configured it, and installed the management profiles, you will want to set up a Volume Purchasing Program account. This allows you to purchase multiple licenses of each app and install them on your iPads with your MDM.

You will also want to talk to an Apple Business Expert about the Device Enrollment Program. When you sign up for this program, you will get info to put into your MDM (if supported), making device management even easier.
