Q: Seeing a 'Quadrupler' on Screensaver

Hi all,

This is a random one, but i'm hoping somebody out there might be able to help.

Does anyone else 'play' Apple TV? For years now, one of mine and my friends' favourite games has been to allow the Apple TV Screensaver to come on screen, and then look out for multiple occurrences of the images on screen at any one time.

So for example, i'm sure you are all aware of the 'Sneaky Hummingbird' picture? Well, if there is just one hummingbird on screen, along with say, the gorilla and maybe the penguins, and the yellow tree, than this is zero points, as there is only one of each picture.

However, should there be TWO 'Sneaky Hummingbirds' on screen at the same time, this would be two points, or 'a doubler'. Similarly, THREE 'Sneaky Hummingbirds' on screen at the same time is 'a Tripler'. (FYI, it isn't specific to just 'Sneaky Hummingbirds' - it could be any recurring instances of any of the images on screen at any one time - 'Sneaky Hummingbird' is just our favourite, lol.)

Pictures can be obscured, as sometimes smaller images 'hide' behind larger ones (this is a particular trait of the 'Sneaky Hummingbird'), however, so long as a slice of each image can be seen at the same time, the score registers.

On a couple of occasions, some of us have seen the extremely rare, 'Quadrupler' (4 of the same images on screen at the same time). However, out of jealousy, or disbelief, others in the group do not believe us.

Now, my question is multi-faceted:

A) Is there any one else out there that plays this game?? If so, have you ever seen 'a Quadrupler'?

B) Does anybody understand the technical 'back-end' programming behind the screensaver? If so, can you confirm that the algorithm that selects the pics would be choosing them at random, and therefore a 'Quadrupler' while rare, is still possible?

Any help on this is much appreciated!

And if you've never played Apple TV, I urge you to give it a go!! It's addictive, and a great way to spend time with loved ones.

Thanks,

Johnny
