Q: I got an IPad Pro 12.9 & I'm going to set it up
I got an IPad Pro 12.9 & I'm going to set it up. I at present have an IPad 3 & will be giving it to my son. What way is best to set it up my new IPad Pro? I already have a Apple ID, so I don't need to do that. What I'm wondering is about the Family sharing thing, or should I just get everything out of my old IPad 3 & let him start from nothing? If I do the Family sharing does it allow anyone I put in Family sharing to see my stuff? If I do Family sharing does it Allow the old IPad 3 to be able to use all the Apps I've gotten? And if so, will he have his own games, meaning will he end up playing at levels & things I've aquired? Also with the Family sharing will he have to make up his own Apple ID & iCloud ID for the IPad 3 that I'm giving him. So Confused! ?..Oh, also I have a lot of pics & a few videos that are on the IPad 3, but Not in the cloud storage, what's the Best, Easiest way to get them from the IPad 3 to maybe the IPad Pro, or to laptop??...Thanks...

I'd suggest you start by reading these article:

You might find it easier to know what questions to ask with some background knowledge. I strongly recommend that, even if you don't opt for family sharing, you each have your own Apple ID. Sharing Apple IDs leads to all sorts of confusion.
