Q: NAT issue with Snow Leopard
For the poster that is going to say "Google is your friend", no it is not or I would not be here.
I have been trying for quite some time now to fix the only problem that I have with Snow Leopard Server.
Lion Dropped MySql and apparently no one knows how to use postgrl so I installed MySql and jacked with it for a couple of hours to get it up and running. There were various other issues with Lion. I eventually went to Yosemite. Hey Apple, where's the GUI? Then to el Capitan and finally tried Sierra (no server app at all yet).
For me, each 'step up' kept taking away things and running more poorly than the last.
Welcome home Snow Leopard. I will stick with it for some time to come.
The only problem I have with Snow Leopard is that when it reboots, the NAT will not start back up. Other than that, it does a beautiful job of maintaining my home network. I have searched high and low for an answer without success. The few posters that addressed this problem specifically here never got an answer.
As it seems to be about three years or so since this question has been asked and it seems that some have migrated back to SLS, I was wondering if anyone has found a solution.
As it stands right now, anytime there is a necessity to reboot, I just turn off the NAT service, reboot and turn it back on. In the event of a power failure (longer than the UPS can maintain) or just a random crash, I have to kill the firewall and the NAT then setup the gateway service again which then requires fixing the various omissions and errors and I am good to go again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Working now, but I am not sure if it is fixed.
I exported a copy of the working Server Admin setup and did a restart. I was planning to export a copy of the non-working setup for comparison, but to my surprise, it now works on a reboot. I did several reboots to confirm. Hmmm ...
