Q: When i try to add an email address it says it is already in use with another appleid. When i sign in with forgot password it can't ... I understand from your post that when you try to create an Apple ID you receive an error saying it is already in use with another Apple ID, but when you try to sign in it cannot find it. This could happen if your email address is being used as an alternate or recovery email address with someone else's Apple ID.To resolve this, you will need to remove your email address from their accounts. Have your family member sign into their Apple ID and remove your email address from the alternate or rescue email address section.
