Most of my apps disappeared from my account

I reset my iPad and after that I tied to download an install my purchased apps only to realize that most of my apps were deleted from my iTunes account. They cannot be located and downloaded. Several dozen apps that I purchased in the last three years are not available to me anymore. I can see all of them in the receipts of purchase

Unfortunately Apple insists on changing the account name automatically, depending on the credit card used. I have used several cards, my own, my wife's, as well as other family members for purchases. In any case I am the sole owner of the iTunes account and associated Apple ID, I have paid for all these apps and now I am experiencing all this nuisance, where I cannot download a single app that I have purchased.

I don't believe that Apple will fix this issue with the account names, because they are too stubborn to do that, but this is totally unacceptable. I have an iPad that is made useless as I cannot put on it any of the apps that I have paid several hundred dollars for. This is big brother at its best. I hope I won't be forced to purchase all the apps again ! Someone should really have a good look at how the App Store purchasing system works.

The only thing I can think of is that I spoke several months ago with an Apple representative over the phone and she went through changing my Apple ID to a new one, because there were problems with the login.

It is only logical that all my purchases should have been transferred automatically to the new ID, since it was made from Apple for technical reasons.

It makes no sense whatsoever that all these purchases can be lost so easily. The internet is full of complaints similar to mine and I am sure that Apple gets a very good commission from all these people who have to purchase app for a second or third time.

I will have to call an Apple representative to see if and how this issue can be solved, but all this cumbersome model of the app store is very very frustrating and probably illegal.

So after spending a lot of time, it seems that all apps older than 2 months are deleted. Thank you Apple, you really do make things easy for your customers.

There is no way to get the apps back, but to remember EVERY SINGLE app that I purchased and try to purchase it again, so that I get the message this app is free because you have made a purchase of a previous version.

If that was not enough, there are apps that I HAVE PURCHASED and cannot be downloaded, simple because I live in a different country at the moment and my account is associated with that country. There is no way to change the country, without creating a new ID and there is no point in doing that because then the app will not be free anymore as the Apple ID will be different from the one that the purchase was made through.

I have spent several hundred dollars to purchase products that have been taken away from me. I wonder what consumer organizations have to say about that.
