Problems adding cards to apple wallet

I recently bought an apple SE and wanted to add my HSBC US based account as I live in France and have been unable to complete the action.

i called HSBC and they say you need to be present in the USA to do this . i entered my Chase credit card on my wallet from France and had no problems. I appears that the banks call centers are poorly informed as to smart phone payment apps.

Anyone have any helpful suggestions, thank you?

Hi

Different banks may use different criteria when deciding whether to approve applications to add their cards to Apple Pay - potentially including information about your location at the time of seeking to add the card.

Such decisions rest with the card issuers, not with Apple.

Jonathan,

Thanks for the reply, I understand that the decison is not Apples, however I get everything set up just to the terms and agreement part and when I try to go beyond taht part is when it says contact your bank. Do you know if HSBC would not service France as they have local office, I just prefer to use my US credit card?
