Q: Compressor 4: View and modify source audio channels
Love the new Audio tracks selection feature in Compressor!
It's a big time saver. Working in post production though it would be AMAZING to be able to save a preset assignment or list out the standard 8 channels without scrolling for extra speed and repeated use.
I did notice that the feature errors when using a SAN with shared computers running compressor 4.2.2.
Here's the situation:
So I have UserX who submits a job to the farm, the farm has compressor while logged in as UserY, compressor on UserX's machine creates a plist file with the key audio-track-overrides and source-movie-path with .cmprsr_mt file extension located in path: /Users/<UserX>/Library/Application Support/Compressor/Cache/MutableAudioTrackMedia/<file1>-$tring.cmprsr_mt. Since the farm / shared compressor machines don't have access to that file on user X's machine, (for XSAN, you don't select "Enable automatic file sharing" they fail.
Would be cool if this information could be contained in the batch file itself instead.
See errors in console like:
msg="Handling exception: batch = file1, file2, file3 job = file1, target = file1_1080p.mp4, host = X38, exception = Source file /Users/<UserX>/Library/Application Support/Compressor/Cache/MutableAudioTrackMedia/file1-$tring.cmprsr_mt not found, fail count = 5. There are 0 hosts which haven't failed this request yet."
Xserve, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), XSAN 4.1
