Q: How to connect to internet on apple TV without remote?

I recently moved, and in the chaos I seemed to have lost my Apple Remote. Upon trying to connect my Apple TV in the new place, (With new Wifi) I can't seem to get my iPhone remote app to connect. The app tells me to make sure that both devices are on the same wifi, but I can't chose a wifi to connect to on the TV because of my lack of a remote. Does anyone have a solution to connecting my iPhone to the Apple TV!?!

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.4

The remote app works over wifi and uses home sharing, you will need to borrow or purchase a replacement remote in order to setup the new network.

You actually do need a remote to configure ATV. They're available for a reasonable price, and the ones for ATV 2 and 3 will work on ATV 4, although Siri will be missing, of course. If you have a Mac, there's an app called Cider TV which is reported to work. You could check it out.

Edit. Cider TV for Mac only solves this problem for ATV 2 and 3, not ATV 4.
