What would cause my iMac to quit finding networks

Why would my iMac suddenly disconnect from my network and now no networks show up in network settings? I live in a development so I can normally pick up lots of networks. I had problems the last couple days with my Mac randomly disconnecting from my network but I always could find my network. Tonight it disconnected from my network and absolutely no networks show up anymore. Any ideas? My iPad and iPhone are currently connected to the network so it isn't my modem or router.

I had tried that before and I tried it again and this is what happens...

1 - I open network diagnostic and chose wifi

2 - I clicked continue

3 - the next window ask you to select a wifi network but there is no networks that come up. Not even my neighbors! at the bottom of th screen it says scanning and the spinner is spinning endlessly.

I Have tried restarting my computer and my modem/router. And I tried shutting down my computer then unplugging it and holding the power button for 10 second to do a reset and then plug it back in and start it up. Still no networks show up.
