Looked genuine enough, that I updated my credit card details. until I got onto the page that requested:
"Verify your identity Place your credit card next to your passport, and take a clear photo of docs and also one pitcure of you holding your passport."
-- this made me stop. *** would Apple ask for this? I'm thinking this is totally fake.
-- then I noticed the grammatical errors – obligate, instead of obligated. Then at the bottom of the page it says "We use a Highly encryption to protect the confidentiality of your Personal information." – again poor grammar / English.
-- then when I hover of the "Save it for me button – it shows the link :http://niti2.net/B
-- I immediately logged into my Apple ID account and changed my password. BUt I think my credi card details might be compromised. Should I call my CC company, or wait to see fraudulent activity on it, if any?

iTunes accounts don't expire, it's a phishing attempt trying to get your account and payment details - you could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.

If you entered your card's details then yes, contact your card issuer and get it cancelled and replaced.
