Actual height/width screen measurements of both size models

The spec pages for the MacBook Pro give the height/width measurements of the screen that include the casing. Could somebody please measure just the screen area height/width and let me know what they are on the 15.4" and 17" models. I'm trying to decide between them and when I see them in the store, they seem to have much more of 16:9 aspect ratio than my iMac and I'd like to compare actual screen real estate acurately. Thanks.

The approximate dimensions for the 15" MBP are: 13.125 x 8.25 inches. These figures result in a diagonal of 15.5 inches so they are pretty close. I don't have a 17 inch, so I don't know those dimensions. However, the ratio of the 15 inch measures is 1.5909. You can use that ratio to estimate the dimensions of the larger screen assuming the known dimension of the diagonal.
