Q: IPhoto error after upgrade

If you have a registered copy of iPhoto, i.e. 3.6

you can get it back, follow this link. It mentions Yosemite but the same procedure works for El Capitan

Hello, i met the same problem. can I know what do you mean by "have a registered copy of IPhoto, i.e. 3.6?" Now I can't open my iPhoto and don't know it's version  

if I deleted my iPhoto to trash, can I reinstall back, I'm currently El CApitan version. Next, can I have al my photo kept in iPhoto back?? This is so important to me

means version?? Mine it showed 9.4.1, so if I delete the app and reinstall can? Is the photos will back up automatically?

No, your version is out of date (9.6.1 is current)

You should use Photos (which came with El Capitan)

So I just left my iPhoto apps like that? How about the photos in it?       any idea to take back the photos from iPhoto?

Open Photos and let it take over

OH yeah! The photos in iPhoto has been shown in Photo too!!

If the app is still in the Trash folder then it can be moved back.

However the Library (iPhoto Library) in Your Home Folder/Pictures is where all the pictures are.

You are likely to show two "libraries" after migrating to Photos.
