Aug 20, 2016 12:57 AM in response to Cathie Aslanby King_Penguin,Is that a separate id, or have you updated the primary email address on the account ? You can log out of an iCloud account via Settings > iCloud > Sign Out, and then log back in with the other/updated id
If you have updated the primary email address : What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password - Apple Support

Aug 20, 2016 1:12 AM in response to King_Penguinby Cathie Aslan,It's a whole separate account. When I try to sign out/sign back back it won't let me do it until I sign out of "find my phone" but that also comes up with the old ID

Aug 20, 2016 2:26 AM in response to King_Penguinby Cathie Aslan,But when I try to turn off "find my iPhone, it asks for the password, again only using the old ID. So I can't seem to even sign out and sign back in

Aug 20, 2016 2:28 AM in response to Cathie Aslanby King_Penguin,Why can't you sign out ? As that is the account that is signed into iCloud you will be asked for that account's password to turn 'find iPhone' off - if you can't remember its password : http://iforgot.apple.com

Aug 20, 2016 2:37 AM in response to King_Penguinby Cathie Aslan,No....I had an old Macbook (before iCloud existed) and my original account with iTunes was set up with a previous (no longer in existence) email address. When we got our new Macs & phones, we set up new accounts. I can sign into iTunes & Apps Store but for some reason, on the phone, the old ID comes up when I try and sign into iCloud and it won't give me an option to change it to the new ID

Aug 20, 2016 2:44 AM in response to Cathie Aslanby King_Penguin,Tap on Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone and slide 'Find My iPhone' off, type in that old account's password, and you can then log out of the account - you can then log in with your new account

Aug 20, 2016 3:03 AM in response to Cathie Aslanby King_Penguin,You are entering the old account's id on http://iforgot.apple.com ? You should be able to reset it via email or by answering the account's security questions.
Or you could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try contacting iTunes Support online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the phone from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it
