my imac open up with os x utilities ?
i have a iMac 2013
10.9.5 not sure if it's maverick
when I log on it goes directly to os x utilities
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
When you log on or when you start the computer?
If when you log on, is Disk Utility in your login items in System Preferences/Users & Groups?
If when you start the computer, try restarting with the option/alt key held down to see if you can select and start from the OS partition.
