How do I unpause an iCloud Photo Library upload on iPhone? (iOS 9)

So turning off low power did the trick! How frustrating this is ! It turns out that when in low power mode photos sync from iPhone/iPad to iCloud is paused or at least slowed down significantly.

What I found, the hard way, was

1. When Low power ON and unplugged from power

   No sync at all. Just says "Uploading xx photos" (*that's* confusing! )

2. When Low power ON and plugged to power

   Syncs within the first 60s. However that did not seem to work always. At least once it got stuck "Uploading xx photos" until I unplugged and plugged again to power. Then it sync'd

3. When Low power OFF and unplugged from power

   Sync'd always within the first 60s.

So bottom line : Make sure you're on Wifi, Turn off Low power and it should work.

It is now the 21st, is it syncing?

Try Settings/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then resync.

Have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

Some people have reported that the iPhone pauses photo library syncing during Lowe Power Mode, so do make sure you don’t have that turned on. (Also try connecting the phone to a power source?)

I’m well aware that sometimes syncing pauses until the next day when Low Power Mode isn’t engaged, and I would love to know how to give it a kick in the pants when that happens.
