Since your Mac is new you may have iMovie (replaced iDVD) pre installed. Check your Applications folder.
No, it will not. You should find some other application to do what you did with iDVD and get the upgrades for the other software. iPhoto has been replaced with Photos. You will find the other upgrades through the App Store under the Purchases page if the other iLife apps were not pre-installed for you.
