Q: anybody keep Apple TV on 24/7?

Does anybody keep their Apple TV on constantly?  Does it do damage to the device to do that?

It doesn't have any mechanical parts, so it's not like they're wearing down...

Why would you though, rather than letting it go to sleep when not in use?

I was just curious as I saw it as an option in the settings.  So you recommend turning it off?

Yes. Let it go to sleep on its own when not in use. No reason to use the electricity and no reason to manually put it to sleep or power it down.

When asleep, it is still partially on, so it can recognize when you send a signal from your remote. That's all you need.
