Thanks for bringing your issue to the Apple Support Communities. Based on the information that you provided, it appears that you are having some issues with iCloud Drive being slow to sync. I know it is important to have your items sync in a timely manner. I'll be happy to help.
Get help using iCloud Drive, this article goes over some information about making sure everything is up to date, include any apps that you may use iCloud Drive with. Also, if you haven't already, it would be best to restart the MacBook Pro and try syncing again. If still having issues, try booting the Mac into safe mode and testing as well. To get back to your main user from safe mode, simply restart the Mac.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn‘t finish starting up
