Q: Editing iPhoto migrated photos in the Photos app with the retouch tool

Photos that I edited in iPhoto with the "retouch" tool look fine in the Photos app but when attempting to do further retouch editing the previously edited areas are all hugely pixelated. Help!

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), 16gb ram 3TB Fusion

As a workaround revert to the original and redo your edits

Hi and thanks Larry. I've been doing that but have hundreds of like photos so was hoping it might be a bug that can be fixed OR a bulk process/app I could use to improve the integrity of the iPhoto pics in Photos.
