Q: Can't connect to macs with Apple Remote Desktop after update os
Hello
I have about 780 mac to manage at different sides. To manage this Mac we have VPN Connections and Apple Remote Desktop.
Till 10.9.3, updates of the OS X went smoothly and after a Remote initiate Update I was able to access the machine and finish the update process.
Now with the Yosemite & El Capitan it is impossible! I need to go physically to the machine and drive dozen of kilometers :-((((
When I look on the machine their are some prompt windows for statistics and connection for Apple ID. When I both ignore this, the the Remote Connection is again availible! Why not starting the Background Task before this idiot prompt who nobody needs. When I need to connect Apple ID I can to it later!
Is there a way to bypass these prompts or a workaround to start the ARD Agent?
Wy can't apple stop this nonsense and making their system again professional as it was till 10.6.8. E.g. making an setup & update manager you can choose between (beginner / standard / experience).
Very often the access isn't allowed because the update process change some ARD Settings. Problable Apple prefers another ARD setting an overwrite our default :-(((
I need to make an SSH connection and run to the command as described in HT201710;
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -activate -configure -access -on -restart -agent -privs -all
Has someone else also recognized these behaviour?
Regards
Gérard
