Q: QuickTime Pro: If my license doesn't expire....

If my QuickTime Pro license doesn't expire...why can't I download an updated version of the software? At the very least, I should be able to download equal or greater replacement software, yes? I mean it just makes sense in case my existing version becomes damaged, or if I change computers for whatever reason. Right?

Thanks!

The last version of QuickTime Player to allow Pro upgrading is version 7. It's 11 years old.

Apple has ended development of version 7, stopped selling the Pro upgrade to it and suggests Windows users remove it from their PC's.
