Issue Adding Arrow/Highlight in 10.1.2 iMovie

Hi. I have edited together a set of volleyball clips in iMovie version 10.1.2. Trying to add an arrow highlighting my daughter. I've created a freeze frame of the clip where I want to put the arrow, created the arrow as a .png, dragged the arrow image over my clip, green "+" shows where I understand I should be able to expand and choose "picture in picture", but I'm not presented this option. The only options I receive include replacing my clip with the new image. Any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks

Place your .png overlay above your clip and select it. In the toolbar at the top of your screen click on the button that looks like overlapping squares. A selection box will appear that, when you click on it, will give you the Picture in Picture option. Click on that and move the play head over your clip to make your your overlay appear in the clip. (You may need to click the blue reset button to the right.) You can then adjust it as to size and position.

Hope this helps.
