Having a Bluetooth issue

when I connect my iMac to my Bose sound touch 30 and play any music from iTune, it disconnects multiple times playing songs. not sure if it's a software or a hardware issue. It does reconnect itself right away and keeps playing the songs. I'd say 15 to 20 times per song. Thank you for any response.
