Moving a Final Cut Pro X Event?

Hi,

Just returned from vacation where I downloaded video from my iPhone to FCP X on my macbook. Now I would like to transfer this event video to my iMac at home for further editing in FCP X.

Can someone tell me an easy way to do this?

- Where are the event files located?

- Do I paste them to a same folder on my iMac or re-import the video?

- I was planning to use airdrop from my laptop to my iMac. Any better ideas?

Thanks for any help!

The events are in folders inside the library bundle. Assuming you imported your media into FCP as managed media, everything is in the library. If you made a new library on your MacBook with just this media in this library, the simply thing is to copy it from one computer to another. Libraries can be very large so AirDrop over WiFi might be quite slow. Sneakernet would probably be faster. Simply copy the library from the MacBook to a USB3 or Thunderbolt drive. Take the drive to the iMac and copy it there.
