How can I run a Windows CD on my MacBook Air?

Hello:

I have a MacBook Air; OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5. I do not have a CD/DVD drive, but really need to install a Special Library CD that is Windows based. Is there a way for me to run the Windows-based CD on my Mac if I buy an external CD/DVD player?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi Niel, thanks for writing back. I'm looking at the back of the CD jacket. It just says that the system requirements is Microsoft Windows, XP, Vista, etc. I do know that the Library is all text, no pics. It also says "If your computer has no CD-Rom drive, you may copy this CD-ROM to a supported medium, such as a USB Flash drive, and install the program from that." How do I do that without a CD drive? What is the "supported medium?" I don't understand. Oh, where can I get CrossOver Mac and the other software you mentioned?
