Q: with IOS 9.3.3, isight Camera remains black

According to Apple's suggestions, I updated to IOS 9.3.3. After restart, my isight camera wouldn't work anymore. Camera software starts, but the viewfinder stays dark. Had various help agents from Apple chat trying to help. No results, even after total reset and re-install. Then I was told to wait until IOS 9.3.4, which I did. After the update: same result. I am using an iPhone 5, 32GB. Camera function is crucial to me.

Take your device to the Apple Store for further diagnostics. This may be hardware issue.

You're missing the latest update 9.3.5.

Via Wi-Fi. Tap Settings > General > Software Update

Or using iTunes. Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If updating doesn't help the camera issue, try the help in the support article > Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
