NFL Game Pass Apple TV

GUYS I HAVE EXCELLENT NEWS!

I live in Thailand and I've been watching NFL gamepass international for the last 5 years. The last theee years via Apple TV (it's the reason I bought Apple TV in the first place). I have been scouting through these boards for the last three weeks trying to find a solution. I **** near gave up and thought the only option was to watch the games on my iPhone.

HOWEVER, the guys at NFL finally figured it out just today. There is an app titled 'game pass international' that just came or today and I downloaded and I'm watching all the games of the week perfectly like normal. I've added a photo of what the App looks like. Thank god for fantasy football! Enjoy guys!! I hope this solves everyone's problems!

For Game Pass users, see this message from NFL regarding older Apple TV's:

The app is not available in the US App store. I had to change my store to the Thai app store to download the app. You'll need to change to the app store where you're living. You can google for instructions. FWIW, the only thing that changed on my AppleTV when I did this is that the TV app has gone away. It's okay, I didn't use that anyway. I'm ready for some FOOTBALL!

I live in Thailand and downloaded the NFL Game Pass app from the Thai store. This on an Apple TV 3.

The first game I watched was flawless. The second game (Dallas vs. Oakland) played fine for the first hour and fifty minutes, but then was constantly interrupted with a "Parameter Error". (Screenshot attached.) If I selected "Continue" there would be a long pause and then the game would start back at the beginning forcing me to scroll forward to the point of failure. This happened at least a dozen times during the last 30 minutes of the broadcast.

I wrote to NFL "Digital Care" about this specific problem. Their only response is:

If the app only works on an ATV4, then why do they permit downloads to incompatible devices?

I'm not sure I buy the NFL's claim that "This is a restriction that Apple have set to all its providers who attempt to update their apps, rather than specific to NFL Game Pass." None of my other streaming apps stopped working when they were updated.

If this happens again I'll start working on a refund….

I went out and purchased Gen 4 for this reason and it does not work! You get an error saying it is not available in the territory, You can download the app not problem, but it will not play the games.....only can play on my computer so Apple definately has locked down the app.......did not take into consideration the International subscription for GP---that is the only thing I can come up with!

Have you figured anything out?

My NFL Game Pass works great on my computer (right now streaming it)....I tryed to play on my Gen 3 Apple TV, but after reading the online help from NFL, it said the app would only work on Gen4.... So I went out and bought a Gen 4.

Set up OK....and all was fine until I went to watch a game! After renewing my subscription and all!!! It then said the app was not available in my territory.

Any thought as to what I may need to do to the Apple TV besides throwing it agains the wall?

I have Apple TV gen 4, getting the same "territory" issue! I've been back and forth with NFL.com and they stopped emailing me. HORRIBLE customer service! I live in Stuttgart Germany and can get in just fine on my phone and laptop.

Same exact thing happened to me. Except now, I can watch on the computer and tried to Airplay it to ATV, it worked fine last week, but now this week I get the video on ATV but NO sound.

Once I found out NFL would only play on an ATV 4...I went out and purchased one.

Got it all set up, downloaded the app then get the warning that it is not eligible in my territory (UK!!)---got subscription OK... It works on my iPad and my iMac...... so pushing it to ATV through airplay was my last resort, now no sound.

Anyone have any issues with this? I tried with both the ATV4 and the ATV3......reboot computer, am using Safari, reboot the Atvs..... checked sound settings to make sure it was on ATV..... nothing has worked.

Any ideas would be helpful, I am sure.....

I got an email like that from the NFL support. However, I don't see that app. Could you attach a pic? Question, are you attached to the iTunes Store in Thailand or the US?

Did you get it at the USA App Store?

I am too...... do you still have issues? I have tried every thing I can think of? Right now am streaming it to the Apple TV but want to keep changing games and it is not stable with a remote to the computer.....

I tried attaching the picture but it won't work. Basically it's called 'NFL Game Pass Intl' and it is a dark blue background with the NFL logo in the middle. I live in Thailand but I bought my Apple TV in California. I am watching NFL network and Downloaded it just in time for Monday night football. Hope this helps guys!

Well, I thought I was out of the woods, but on my Apple TV with the new app I am told "Your account does not have access to this content". Same account that I can watch the game on my phone and computer. AAARRRGGHHH!

We're the first game into the season and this issue has not yet been fixed. Class action lawsuit time.
