iPhone 5s will not send photographs

My iPhone5s will not send photographs out of camera roll in messages

APple advice says update to iOS 9.3.1 - My phone says that I am up to date with iOS 9.3.4

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 8

Close all apps on the phone, then reset the device.

To close all apps, press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps. Swipe left to find the app you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

To reset your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

hi thank you for you quick response i did what you said several times but it still did not work

Its appears that phone is sending the photograph via SMS and i get a green line indicating sending across the top of the message but it stops just short of completing and never goes

Are you able to send iMessages with a photo attached? Do SMS messages without photos go through OK?

Have you gone through the steps in this troubleshooting article?
