Q: Number spreadsheet flashing

Whenever I open a spreadsheet in Numbers 3.6.2, the "format/sort & Filter" screen briefly flashes on the right. It doesn't stay on. It's almost like it is on when I open the file and quickly closes.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), Numbers

You can click on the Format button in the toolbar to make the inspector appear. Or use the menus: View > Inspector > Show Inspector. I think the inspector state is saved with the file.

Yes, I know that. The inspector is closed, but every time I open the file, the inspector screen flashes quickly.

Did you try showing the inspector, editing, saving and closing the file?
