Songs added from playlist to music library are tagged as "Date added 01.01.1970"

Hi there,

I discovered a strange behaviour of iTunes/Apple Music a few weeks ago.

I created a playlist in which I put in albums that might be interesting or contain interesting songs. The songs of this list are NOT automatically added to my music library. I just want to have songs in my library I really like, so I deactivated the option to add songs form playlists automatically in the preferences.

Now, when I find a song that sounds great, I choose "Add to music library" by right clicking the respective song in the playlist.

Looking into my music library afterwards, the song shows up, but is tagged with "Date added: 01.01.1970". That's really annoying since I sort my library by "Date added" and all other songs which have not been added out of a playlist show the correct date.

I tried different things to get behind this issue but so far I had no success.

- It's the same buggy behaviour for the at least last 3 iTunes updates

- It's OS independent. The same buggy behaviour occurs in iTunes for Mac and Windows and also the iOS Music app

- When adding songs directly (not from a playlist) everything is fine

I mean I could of course stop adding songs from playlists. But maybe someone knows another solution for this issue?

Thanks and best regards

Volker
