Q: How do you copy numeric data from a web page to numbers on iPad

I Need to copy numeric data from a web page to numbers on my iPad Pro. When I paste the data it is formatted text.

    Try selecting the first cell of an existing table, and pasting into it. If it does not just populate other cells in the table, instead of attempting to paste everything into that first cell, then it is unlikely to work. Apple did not build web standard awareness into its Pages and Numbers applications, but I bet you can do this in an Excel table.

     

    A pure HTML table without excessive styling will (if possible at all) paste more accurately than a flex, or CSS table.

    Actually, I am copying one number at a time into one cell. It formats the number as text instead of keeping it as a number. The work around I am using is this slide-over feature of the iPad Pro and typing the number in.
