Broken iphone 6

Right well basically about 3 months ago i smashed my iPhone 6, whilst i was getting the money together, i found out that i had to turn find my I phone off. When i went to do this i realised that i had my very old apple account which i remember nothing for is hocked up to the cload 😕, so i then managed to block that account trying to remember the password. so then i tried the security questions that i dont even remember making. So now im just wondering what do i do next, do i need to ring apple and get them to change the password and unlock the account and to also reset the security questions.

Any help will be greatly appreciated 🙂
